Founder and Head of the Terminology Coordination Unit of the DG for Translation of the European Parliament from 2008 to 2022. Before, since 1981, translator in the Greek Translation Unit. Visiting Professor in the University of Luxembourg since 2013 and Savoie Mont-Blanc since 2019 and occasionally in many Universities teaching Terminology and Communication in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Greek. Vice-President of TermNet. Member of several boards and scientific committees of terminology conferences. Curator of PhD and Master theses.
In culture (secondments from the EP): Director of International Relations of “Thessaloniki European Capital of Culture 1977”, (1995-1998), Head of Cabinet of the Greek Minister of Culture (2000-2002) (external activities approved by the EP): cultural advisor to the Mayor of Athens (2007-2010), Coordinator of the Network of European Capitals of Culture (2000-2010), Project Manager of “Hellenic Culture in Luxembourg” (since 2016), Member of the European Cultural Parliament (ECP).
Published books and e-books on terminology and culture as well as philosophical essays and poems.
